About Eeze Covers — A Family Business Built on Craftsmanship

Over 40 Years of Making Beautiful Loose Covers the Right Way

Paul — Head Tailor & Founder

Hello — I'm Paul, and I've been making bespoke loose covers for sofas, armchairs and suites for over 40 years.

What started as a craft has become a lifelong passion. Every cover that leaves our workroom in West Yorkshire has been made by hand — by me and my small team — using only the finest UK fabrics. No outsourcing. No shortcuts. Just proper, old-fashioned tailoring.

Over the years I've made covers for thousands of customers across the UK and Europe — from straightforward armchairs to complex antique suites, and everything in between. I've worked with virtually every quality furniture brand you can think of: Tetrad, Multiyork, Parker Knoll, G Plan, Ercol, Collins & Hayes, Duresta, Bridgecraft and many more.

When you contact Eeze Covers, you speak to me directly. When your covers are made, I make them. That level of personal accountability is rare in this industry — and it's something I'm genuinely proud of.

Who makes your covers?

Every cover is made by Paul Sweeney, our head tailor and founder, in our West Yorkshire workroom. Paul started as an apprentice in his uncle's loose cover business, and he's been making covers for over 40 years.

Paul doesn't only make the finest tailored covers — he also teaches people around the world. Through Eeze Covers Academy, his online training site, he shares his methods in over 50 step-by-step video tutorials, covering everything from wing chairs and Chesterfields to curved sofas and sectionals. Home sewers and professionals across the globe have learned from him.

“If you can sew, I can 100% teach you how to make tailored covers that fit to perfection.”

Why Choose Eeze Covers?

There are other companies making loose covers. Here's why customers choose us — and why they keep coming back.

Every cover we make is genuinely tailored to your furniture — not cut from a standard template and hoped for the best. We take our measurements from your actual sofa, or from your existing covers, and we build each piece from scratch. The result is a fit that most customers say looks better than the original upholstery.

We specialise in quality furniture — Tetrad, Multiyork, Parker Knoll, G Plan, Ercol and all other premium brands. These pieces are built to last a lifetime. The fabric wears out; the frame doesn't. New covers breathe life back into furniture that would cost two or three times more to replace new.

We also understand that no two sofas are the same — and no two customers are the same. That's why we offer three different service options to suit different budgets and situations, and why we always take the time to understand what you need before recommending anything.

40 Years of Knowledge — At Your Service

We've been the go-to specialists in bespoke loose covers since long before the internet made it easy to find a craftsman. In the early days, we worked mainly for interior designers and national cover-making companies — quietly building a reputation for quality and precision that spread entirely by word of mouth.

When the internet arrived, it opened up a whole new world. Customers who'd struggled to find a proper loose cover specialist could suddenly find us — and we could serve them anywhere in the UK, not just locally. Today we work with homeowners, interior designers, hotels, care homes and trade customers across the whole of the UK and much of Europe.

The business has grown enormously. But the approach hasn't changed one bit: every cover is still made by hand, still fitted to your furniture, still backed by our personal guarantee. We still answer the phone ourselves. We still give honest advice even when it means talking someone out of an order that isn't right for them.

Unlike mass-produced covers, each of our loose covers is meticulously crafted by skilled hands right here in West Yorkshire. We take enormous pride in the straightness of a seam, the precision of a corner pleat, the firmness of a piped edge. These things matter to us — because they're the difference between a cover that fits beautifully and one that doesn't.

We offer a lifetime workmanship guarantee on every cover we produce — and we absolutely guarantee our prices to be fair, honest and transparent. No hidden extras. No small print. Just exceptional covers and a service you can trust.

No Sofa Too Awkward. No Shape Too Tricky.

We Thrive on the Difficult Ones

While other companies turn away complex or unusual furniture, we actively welcome it. Over 40 years, Paul has covered sofas of every conceivable shape — from classic Chesterfields and Knole

Where other cover makers rely on standard templates and hope for the best, Paul takes his measurements and templates directly from your furniture. The difference in the final result is enormous — and it's why customers with difficult or unusual pieces come to us specifically.

The highest compliment we receive — and we receive it often — is when a customer tells us their visitors assumed the sofa had been fully re-upholstered. That's not an accident. It's the result of three and a half decades of practice, and a refusal to cut corners.

Some Notable Places We've Worked

Over the years we've covered thousands of sofas and worked in some extraordinary places — and with some very interesting people. Our covers have been fitted in:

  • Country houses
  • MOD ships
  • Golf clubs
  • Wimbledon
  • St. George's Club
  • Hotels
  • Army & RAF camps
  • Television sets
  • Celebrity homes
  • Theatres

Our Price Promise

We believe exceptional quality shouldn't cost a fortune — especially when the alternative is replacing a sofa that's built to last a lifetime.

We price every job individually and honestly — based on the size and complexity of your furniture, nothing else. No inflated quotes, no hidden charges, no pressure. And if you find a genuine like-for-like quote from another specialist, bring it to us — we'll match it and beat it by 10%.

Personal Service from Start to Finish

From your very first call to the moment your new covers arrive, you'll deal with Paul and our small team directly — not a call centre, not an automated system.

We'll listen to what you need, ask the right questions, and make sure we understand your furniture before making a single recommendation. We'll help you choose fabric so you can be confident of the quality. If you're using our Copy Cover service, send us your old covers (or we can arrange collection). And we'll keep you informed throughout.

Our lifetime workmanship guarantee means if something isn't right, we put it right — no arguments, no small print.
